Purchasing Clerk- Job Description Changes
- Process and create purchase orders and send to vendors.
- Double check orders that are written up (i.e.… design sheets, pricing, colors)
- Check confirmations on purchase orders. **If not received in 24 hours follow up with job vendor**
- Document back orders on the backorder log.
- Contact customers on back orders and notify sales rep of their customers backorder via email.
- Call weekly and follow up on back orders with the vendors.
- Add all orders to daily work log.
- Remove orders from the work log after invoiced.
- Answer the phone first (within 1-2 rings).
- After all orders are checked and added to the work log, they need to be given to Receiving person.
- Contact vendors on pulling errors or problems with product.
- Type invoices
- Assist with walk in customers.
Person must have excellent excel skills, QuickBooks experience is a plus (we can train).
Reliable transportation.
Flexibility to work extra when needed.
Must be able to pass a full drug screen and background check.
Starting wages are $16.00 an hour.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 28 – 32 per week
